At Red & Yellow Design, we believe in transparency and collaboration. Our goal is to make your creative experience as smooth and enjoyable as possible. After all, there's a whole lot of time, effort and passion going into your next venture... We want to aid you in that process to give you the best push forward.

It might seem like a lot of information, but this guide is your quick glance at how our service operates and what you can expect from us.

This step-by-step guide, is how we bring your vision to life:

 

Step 1: Get Started

"Congratulations! You're ready to invest in your idea and what better way than to upgrade your visual game.  It's the first thing people see, let's draw them in!"

To initiate your project, simply make a purchase through our shop page, we'll provide an estimated timeline for your project during this stage.

Step 2: Let's Chat
"It's important that we know what you're looking for, we have some questions we'd like you to answer to help us to know you and your idea better."

​

Firstly, you'll receive an email from us with a some questions regarding your project.

This helps us understand your vision, preferences, and goals which is crucial to the design process. Especially if you have a good idea of what you want things to look like!

However, don't worry if you can't answer all of the questions, or aren't really sure what you want.  We're the designers after all, and we love creative freedom!

 

Step 3: Initial Concept Discussion

"This step isn't essential, but sometimes context can get lost in translation when written and read. We like to get to know our clients, their goals and their needs in order to provide the best possible service, and create the most value assets!"

Once you've completed the form, we can schedule a phone call to discuss your project's initial concepts and ideas, and what the next steps are.

 

Step 4: Confirmation

We'll send you a summary of our discussion via email, and just so we're on the same page if you could return this to us with confirmation.

 

Step 5: Design Magic Begins

Next, we'll will begin crafting an initial design concept based on your specifications. We'll explore colours, layout, fonts and other crucial design elements.

 

Step 6: The Big Reveal

"This bit is exciting! You'll receive the first proof copy of your design via email.  It's at this point you can really see how the design is going to look. So keep your eyes peeled on your inbox."

From here, we need your go ahead or seal of approval before can continue.  We're pretty confident that you'll approve but if for whatever reason the design isn't the vision you had in mind, now is your chance to say. This is the only point in the process where you can request a 'major revision'. (This is a complete overhaul of the concept, and we'll be starting from scratch).
Take note of Step 7.

 

Step 7: Major Revisions (If Required)

"Crafting artwork takes time, and so a 'major revision' at this stage will likely alter the scheduled completion date."

 

Communication is key here, and we'd highly recommend scheduling a telephone conversation with us to discuss your reasons and how we can adjust things. This will speed up the process, and ensure that we can get back on track as soon as possible.

We'll also discuss and agree upon a new completion date to accommodate these changes.

 

(All of our services come with the 'Major Revision' failsafe in mind, it's worth noting however that only one major revision will be honoured within your service fee.  If, for any reason, you decide that the new concept isn't to your taste, you can request extra 'major revisions' but these will come at a cost)

Step 8: Polishing Your Design

Once you're satisfied with the concept, we'll get our creative hats back on and really get to work on sprucing up the design, this is where the hard work begins on our part and where we can really bring your design to life!

 

Step 9: Fine Tuning

"Now we're cooking! By this point we'll have created what is almost your finished piece!"

You'll have the opportunity to make 'minor revisions' to the design at this stage.

It's important that you're clear with any parts you'd like to change.

Want to add some information? Need some items moving around? Found another image you'd like to include? All of the above? Sure, we got you!

We'll adjust the design to your new preferences and you'll have one last chance to make any revisions, be clear with what you require as this is your second minor revision.

Remember, you get two!

Step 10: Almost There!

"After the revisions are complete, we'll send you the *drum roll...* Final Proof Copy"

​

This will be your final product, in all it's creative awesomeness! We're as excited as you are to show this piece off and set it free into the public domain.

All we need now, is your approval.

We'll email you a copy and you'll email back saying "Woah, I love it!".... or something along those lines.

Step 12: Extra Revisions (If Needed)

"Okay, okay... So, not everything is perfect..."

​

Maybe that artist you booked has dropped out, your date has changed or, whoops, you forgot to send me your QR code.

These things happen, we get that.  Just let us know as soon as possible so we can fix it up and get you those juicy new files.

​

Step 13: Your Vision Delivered

Once you're delighted with the design, and have confirmed your approval, we'll immediately send you the full files in the agreed-upon formats via the agreed upon method. YAY!

Step 14: Legal Matters
